Or maybe not…
I can’t stop feeling like everyone is making new years resolutions. To be honest it has never really been my thing.
I have always believed that if you wanna change, you have to do it today. If you wanna wait there’s always a new tomorrow. Like in under 365 days there is a new year where people try to get healthy once again without luck. If you really want to do something do it today and stop procrastinating. Not that it is something i am very good at myself.
I can not pretend that I don’t run from my responebilities. Because I do all the time. I am one of those persons who will get my mom to call the doctor and I will renew my buscard 14 days too late.
But I have discovered this: Somehow I am always in time and just because I will have to do some things another way (like taking the bus) I always manage.
This is the reason why I don’t believe in big new years resolution. And when I say ‘big’ it’s because I have discovered something that will maybe count as a new years resolution.
Do something every day, that makes you happy.
It doesn’t have to something big like ‘get you whole life together’, it just have to be something that gives you a smile on the face.
If you still don’t know what to do here is some examples:
- Take a walk or run whatever you prefer
- Eat ice cream (or any other binge food)
- Watch an episode of your favorite TV show
- Listen to some good music
- Redecorate a room
- Draw a picture
- Make a cup of tea
- Read a book
- Take a nap
- Tell a joke
- Text or call a friend
- Watch a movie
- Wear your favorite outfit
- Take a bath
Nothing really is too small. If it makes you happy do it. And do it now not tomorrow.
Happy New Year!
